Spotlight on sustainability

We’re devoted to creating beautiful lampshades that fill homes and hearts with joy. And we’re equally committed to being as environmentally sustainable and ethically responsible as we can.

We’re always learning and will constantly evolve our practices around sustainability as our business grows, but our overarching promise is to always put people and planet before profit.

Here are some of the ways we strive to minimise our impact:

We only make to order

That means we keep waste to an absolute minimum, and we don’t sit on piles of stock or fabric.

We shop small and British

We’re based in Nottinghamshire, UK, so when sourcing our fabric we look to British fabric houses who stock high-quality fabrics and whose values align with our own in terms of ethical sourcing and sustainability.

We love supporting other small businesses, because we’re passionate about independent brands and the colour, creativity and choice they offer customers.

We use recyclable packaging

Your Tinker & Tallulah treasure will always be delivered in 100% eco-friendly packaging. We wouldn’t dream of wrapping our beautiful swishy shades in nasty single-use plastic (perish the thought)!

We’re obsessed with our craft

Every T&T product is created individually by hand, and a whole lot of time, skill and love goes into every step, from design to production. Our level of craftsmanship is second to none, which means our products will stand the test of time. You can love and cherish them for years, then pass them on to be loved and cherished some more!

We’ll upcycle your old lamps

Got a much-loved lamp that’s in need of some TLC? We’ll give it a new lease of life and a beautiful new shade! Please contact us for more information on our upcycling service.
