Hey, we’re Rach and Liam, a husband-and-wife team from Nottinghamshire with a penchant for seriously swishy lampshades!

The Tinker & Tallulah story began in 2021, when we were renovating our home. We’d seen a photo in The Sunday Times of Sir Frank’s Bar at Beaverbrook Hotel and became obsessed – it’s the epitome of the Art Deco elegance and old-world opulence we both love.

In particular, we were lusting after the super-swishy fringed lampshades. When we couldn’t find them at an affordable price, we decided to make them ourselves.

What started out as a DIY dabble quickly became a hobby, then a passion, and now a whole business dedicated to lampshades that fill homes and hearts with joy.

But we're still a small, family brand (our adorable boys, Arthur and Harry, are very much part of the team!) and every Tinker & Tallulah lampshade is designed and made by us, by hand in Nottinghamshire, England. Our new studio at Thorseby Park opens soon and we can’t wait for you to visit for a cuppa or a cocktail!

β€œThe Roaring Twenties are at the heart of our inspiration. Just think of the glitz, glamour & shenanigans of The Great Gatsby!”

Whether your project is for your business or your home, whether you’re buying from our shop or briefing us on a bespoke order, we’ll make your wildest lampshade dreams come true. If you like what you hear, we think you’ll love our collection of fringed, pleated and patterned lampshades – go take a peek!

P.S. Now you’ve learned a little more about us, can you guess the inspo behind our name? Tinker’, of course, represents Liam and his love of working with his hands.

And β€˜Tallulah’ is a nod to the glitz and glamour of the Roaring 20s – inspired by the actress Tallulah Bankhead and the super-sassy Tallulah from Bugsy Malone. We hope you like it!
